Submission Form for DRAFT ANNUAL PLAN-
I wish to recommend the provision in the Plan for the provision of a new Aquatic Centre Facility in Mosgiel to serve the Taieri area of Dunedin. With a population now exceeding 10,000 and growing as can be witnessed by the amount of new sub-divisions and new housing developments this large area of Dunedin City needs a new facility. Many ratepayers some elderly have to travel to the Moana Pool in central Dunedin to do
aqua-jogging as the existing Mosgiel pool is not deep enough to for this activity. This is really bad.
Mosgiel seems to have become a forgotten suburb within Dunedin in relation to modern facilities for its residents.

Hi, If you are thinking of signing the Avaaz petition please remember to sign the Referendum Petition as that is the only one that has any validity in the Referendum process. I am an independent person not affiliated with any political group or party so understand i offer the following address solely for the handy list of locations where people can sign the real petition and do something practical to Stop the Asset Sales. http://www.greens.org.nz/koa

The on-line petition is at best a publicity stunt, at worst it is deliberately trying to divert signatories from the paper petition that will get us a Referendum. Notice how the on-line petition says nothing about the Referendum Petition or admit that signing on-line does nothing to Stop Asset Sales. I have repeatedly asked Avaaz to include a banner/header to remind people to sign the Referendum Petition but so far no luck. Now that the target of the on-line petition has been met it will be very interesting to see if it gets delivered as promised. Over 25000 people have signed, it is vitally important every one of them signs the Paper Referendum Petion. Thankyou

After the film and discussion 25 March here in Nelson, many stood up to form a group to continue meeting - and acting on our hopes and fears.
The good news is that Franklin is a fine film maker, but also a great public speaker.
The bad news is that the policies that have flattened forests and exploded fracking across the USA and Canada are being adopted whole-heartedly by the present Government.
EndCiv is a film that shows that "Resistance Is Fertile."

I'm the candidate for United Future for Dunedin North, Pete George.

I am also initiating a project to establish a Dunedin cross-party political lobby and welcome involvement from any interested groups or individuals with an interest in debating issues and promoting Duendin as a leader in democracy.
